InDesign is a powerful layout program with all the functions neccesary to create an impressive presentation. The abiity to use layers and the ease with which one can import and combine vector and raster images, make it possible in many cases to bypass the use of Photoshop to convert images.

CB winter poster 2007The poster on the left is an excellent example: a duotone raster image prepared in Photoshop, a semi-transparent rice paper, and two vector images (logo and dragonfly) were layered directly in InDesign. The font is added on another layer, next to a gradient color strip overlayered with a transparent poinsettia at the end. All elements were put together seamlessly in InDesign.
